Counting Objects and Write the Number
Overview
Today we are going to learn how to count objects and then write the number.
Let’s practice counting to 20 using the chart below.
Look at the fish.
Let’s count them. Put your finger on the blue fish and say, “one”. Put your finger on the pink fish and say, “two”. Put your finger on the purple fish and say, “three”. Put your finger on the green fish and say, “four”. Put your finger on the orange fish and say, “five”. Put your finger on the red fish and say, “six”.
There are six fish.

Trace the number 6. Then write the number 6.
Now look at the octopuses. How many octopuses?
Let’s count them.
Put your finger on the first octopus and say, “one”. Move your finger to the next one and say, “two”. Move your finger to the next one and say, “three”. Move your finger to the next one and say, “four”. Move your finger to the next one and say, “five”. Move your finger
Practice Question 1
Count the seahorses. Trace the number.
Remember, put your finger on the first seahorse and say, “one”. Keep counting up until you reach the last seahorse. There are five seahorses.
Now trace the number five.
