When you add groups of objects together, you can find how many there are in all.

You can add large or small numbers together. You can add two or more groups together.

It is helpful to know the addends that can make up each sum.

For example, 3 + 0 = 3 and 2 + 1 = 3. These are the number bonds for 3.
