Overview

A clock helps us to know what time it is. Clocks use numbers and hands. A clock has a big hand and a little hand.

Look at the clock below:

 

 

Look at the clock. The big hand is on the twelve. This tells us that it is _______ o’clock.
To read the hour on the clock, look at the small hand.
The time is 4 o’clock.
We can also write it like this: 4:00

An hour lasts for 60 minutes.
There are 60 minutes in one hour.
There are 24 hours in one day.
