“Valuable” Reflections on Cheese

Mac is thinking about the cheesy meals he’s had this week. He keeps track of how many bites each wedge has provided with base ten blocks. Students can help Mac keep track by recording how many ones, sets of tens, and sets of hundreds there are in each amount. Then, they can rewrite the number in standard form. One thing is for sure: Mac eats A LOT of cheese!
