Norris and Pearl are cousins, and they’re in the same second-grade class this year! You’d think they were just your average students, and they kind of are… except they’re monsters. However, some monsters are perfectly charming and not nearly as intimidating as one would initially assume. The same thing is true about subtraction problems if you think about it. Whether they are vertical or horizontal, two-digit minus two-digit or one, and even if they require a little regrouping, they may still be perfectly lovely problems! Here’s hoping your students will give these not-so-scary subtraction problems a change. Norris and Pearl would approve!
