These finding perimeter using addition worksheets by ArgoPrep will have third-grade students learn how to find the perimeter of objects. The perimeter of a rectangular object is the distance around the outside of an object or the length of the four sides around the object. Students might want to find the perimeter of a space or a shape some day to see how big it is and if it will fit in a small space. For example, they might need to know if a carpet will fit in a room or how much space a box will take up in a car. Students can find the perimeter of a rectangle by adding up the length of all four sides. So if a rectangle has sides that are four inches long and the lengths are six inches long, adding up the sides will be 4+4+6+6 which equals a perimeter of 20. This teacher-created worksheet will have third-graders practicing finding the perimeter of objects using addition and is an excellent resource to use.
