Name the Pieces

This is a great worksheet for first-graders to use in practicing the names of a couple of the less common shapes. The larger composite shape is broken down into a hexagon, two trapezoids, and one triangle. This worksheet doesn’t list the names of the shapes in the text, so it provides a great opportunity to address the complicated spelling of the names of these shapes, although the primary goal is to see if they can remember the names of the pieces.
